RADIO DJ & PRESENTER GREG JAMES FOR BBC

BBC Radio 1’s presenter Greg James completed Pedal to the Peaks Sport Relief challenge in 2018 to raise money for charity. He climbed the highest mountains in Wales, England and Scotland and cycled in between them. James battled the worst snow in Britain for decades, extreme exhaustion, and burned around 10,000 calories a DAY – four times the average amount for an adult man. Winds got up to 65mph on Ben Nevis. He has had to undergo specialist winter mountaineering training before being allowed to even consider climbing in the icy conditions.
Ahead of his challenge I photographed him training with personal trainer Greg Whyte and documented James visiting The Dame Kelly Holmes Trust in order to raise awareness of mental illnesses. He has raised for £1,090,522+ for charity through his challenge.
